| Primal, hylic forces of the egg´s ictus crack to life: rogue mashiah takes its birth-- a milky ceruse of spurt and egesta: in extemis, a piyut releasing light from the husks-- falls up, falls forward, untrammeled, emptied full of eidola, God to yoke to chunks of unbaked clay-- a new Holy Writ, knowing which knows back, coming to a standstill. Daniel Y. Harris holds an M.Div from the University of Chicago and is a faculty member at Lehrhaus Judaica and instructor at UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz Extension. He is a lecturer, essayist, visual artist, and poet, as well as co-founder of The Sparks Project and assistant poetry editor of Muse Apprentice Guild. His publication credits include: Exquisite Corpse, In Posse Review, Convergence, The Denver Quarterly, Panoply, Shampoo, Deviant Lit, and The Vienna Peace Summit Catalog of The Society of Founders of the International Peace University. The Jewish Community Library of San Francisco, Market Street Gallery, The Euphrat Museum, The Center for Visual Arts and Dolly Fiterman Fine Arts are among his art exhibition credits. |
